Welcome to Birds Hill Weather
This is my
personal weather website and weather station where I have been
collecting and sharing weather information for nearly 24 years!
My first weather
station was a Davis Weather Monitor II and it lasted 7 years before
being ruined in a break-in. It was replaced with a Davis Vantage
Pro2 Plus weather station that has been working for around 17
years. That station is now starting to break down and I have
replaced it with an AmbientWeather WS-5000 station. Since both
stations are working I will be displaying data from both of the
stations.
To be honest, the
main purpose for this website is so I can have access to my weather data
and my favorite weather websites from anywhere. The secondary
purpose is to provide weather data for local people, especially those
going to Birds Hill Park.
Hopefully you
will find this site useful. Enjoy!
Who
am I?
My name is Daniel Bezte and I've been
interested in weather since I was a little kid. I pursued my
interest, obtaining a BA Hons. Degree in Geography (Climatology)
from the U of Winnipeg and worked on a Masters Degree until the
teaching bug hit me and I became a teacher instead of a university
professor.
I have been teaching middle years math
and science for nearly 20 years and have been writing about
weather for the Manitoba Cooperator and and Alberta Express for
about 17 years.
